Commercial floor stops tend to be the most common variation and are installed directly on the ground. Wall stops and bumpers are used in commercial settings, too. The wall stop or wall bumper acts as a soft surface to absorb the impact of the door, their ends usually covered in a rubber material. Other commercial door stops may feature a latching or “hook” mechanism to hold the door wide open when needed.
