This adjustability ensures optimal closing force for various door sizes and weights. They accommodate interior doors up to 48" wide and exterior doors up to 48" wide, making them suitable for both standard and larger door applications.
Constructed with a rack-and-pinion design and a cast aluminum body, Norton door closers provide smooth and reliable operation while maintaining a lightweight profile. The tri-style packaging includes regular arm, top jamb, and parallel arm mounting options, offering flexibility in installation. With separate and independent latch, sweep, and backcheck intensity valves, users can precisely control door closing actions. The door closers are available in non-hold open or hold open models, are non-handed, and allow doors to swing 180 degrees, conditions permitting. They feature staked valves for added durability and ease of adjustment.
The dimensions of these door closers include a 2-7/8" (73mm) projection, a 1-3/8" (35mm) diameter piston, and 5/8" (16mm) diameter pinion journals.
